These books begin the Kids of Character Series which are designed to initiate conversations between adults and kids about select character traits admired in Christian living. After becoming engaged to her sweetheart in 2012, Shelley was awarded the Women of History Award for Literature and Arts in honor of National Women’s History Month from Victory University. She continues her personal mission to bring people of different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, genders, races, and age groups together for the betterment of society, understanding, education, and appreciation.
