I am Alexander Sabelnikov, and my pen name is Alex Elnikov. I was born in Moscow, USSR, and half of my life - from birth to adulthood - I spent there. In early years of perestroika, half of my family and I moved to the US on the invitation of one of my American colleagues (I am a scientist and a professor), and since then we are staying here. I published a book under my real name in 1997 in English called “First Manned Spaceflight..” about Russia’s quest for space (it is still available at Amazon.com). There were at least two positive reviews – one from CNN ( www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war/ episodes/08/book.excerpt/16k) and the other from Amazings.com (http://www.amazings.com/sbb/reviews/review0274.html )
Unfortunately, www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war... - is no longer there, or anywhere else. However several years ago, I managed to copy it. CNN Editor's note before the excerpt from the book, which described Gagarin's flight read: Filmmaker Vladimir Suvorov recorded the Soviet Union's space program from 1959 to 1969, including the April 12, 1961, launch of Yuri Gagarin -- the first man in space. In the book "The First Manned Spaceflight: Russia's Quest for Space," Suvorov's nephew, Alexander Sabelnikov, has compiled his uncle's notes into a compelling narrative of the Soviet side of the space race.

In 2002, I published (also in printed form) another book. That time it was a novel “Three Violin Solos”. It was in Russian. That particular book I am trying now to publish as an e-book to reach more Russian speaking readers. Eventually, I may publish it in English.lihat lebih sedikit
