A Visiting Faculty at select universities, a prolific writer and a CBRN subject speaker in international seminars and conferences, he holds Ph.D. for his Doctoral Research on “CBRN Terrorism: A Crisis & Consequence Management Model for India” from SPPU, Pune, India. Athavale has been a Key CBRN Expert for the EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence and advised Governments of Eastern and Central Africa on CBRN risk mitigation matters for three years.
