This is where you usually read about accomplishments, degrees, etc. I am old enough to have a few of those, but here’s what I think you should know about me:I have been a follower of Jesus for more than fifty years. Like John Wesley, my heart was “strangely warmed” when I placed my trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. I can still take you to the place where I was standing when that encounter with Jesus happened.I am a husband, father, and grandpa. I am also a spiritual daddy to quite a few people, a truly humbling thing to me! I consider myself to be one of the least of Abba's children, yet I am able to say in clear conscience to any who wish to listen: Imitate Jesus as I imitate Him, love as I love, live as I live. The God I know and love is a God who is always speaking and who continues to work supernaturally. His mission for me is to introduce as many as I can into intimate relationship with him.My most important life markers, in my view, are related to my family: loving and supporting my wife, Charlie (and before Charlie, Jettie, for forty-one years, until she went to be with Jesus in October 2010). By God's grace, Jettie and I raised two sons, Jon and Josh, to love God with all their hearts, souls, and strength.
