She attended Norfolk State University to obtain her B.S. in Biology and continued on to receive her Master’s in Public Health and Epidemiology from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2013. Throughout all her educational and professional accomplishments, she suffered at the hand of an abusive husband. The abuse she suffered has motivated her to not only heal from the trauma and find her own happiness, but to share that knowledge and empower other women who find themselves in similar circumstances.
