Founded in 2011, A Chance to Learn provides scholarships to low income families for children to attend quality preschool, and offers educational resources and support to enhance kindergarten readiness. A Chance to Learn also offers an eight-week Science, Math, Arts, Reading and Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) Summer Learning Camp for three to five year olds as well as opportunities to learn abroad for children in kindergarten through second grade. LaToyia was the first in her family to obtain an advanced degree when she graduated in 2008 with an MBA in Not-for-Profit Management from the University of Dallas. She went on to become one of the youngest African Americans in the Dallas Area to be involved in non-profit management and fundraising with companies such as Prudential, Coca-Cola and Hilton.
