I grew up with very overprotective parents and older and younger brothers who see me as the typical silent submissive girl who just do what she is told by those around her who are superior and in authority. Seen and not heard, the silent slave. So for me, I think my writing is my way for me to express myself and show a part of me that I can’t let be seen by my parents or other family members. I tend to express everything that I’m feeling through my writing. My fantasies, my thoughts, my desires, how I would want to live my life. I even express things that are going on in my life, that I can’t really share with the people around me. I really would like to be open and honest about how I’m feeling but again I don’t want to be judged by people so I keep it to myself. I do know that sometimes my thoughts and my feelings can be a bit contradictory but it’s just who I am. I know when people say give me your honest opinion they really don’t mean it so I do tend to lie to their face but in my writing where I’m basically a stranger and anonymous, I will tell it like it is and tell you the truth. I also know people will do the same to me and be honest and truthfully sometimes I wanna hear it and sometimes I don’t and I will get an attitude and judged them.
