As a child Irene loved to read and write stories, but it wasn't until 2006, when she retired to Minden, Ontario with her husband that she finally took steps to make her dream of writing a reality.
Irene is a graduate of the University of Alberta and the Institute of Children's Literature's Basic and Advanced Programmes. Irene is a member of Haliburton Highlands Writer's and Editor's Network (HHWEN), the Reading Writing Connection, and CBI Clubhouse. Check out Irene's Website at: left2write.ca
Irene loves reading stories to children and adults. Irene has made guest appearances at various Ontario locations including Dorset, the Haliburton Highlands and Georgetown. Irene has also been featured on Author's Day at the Ajax, Chapters/Indigo Book Store.
Throughout Irene's business career, she put words in other people's mouths writing scripts and speeches, to name a few mediums. Today, Irene's Grandchildren inspire her to use these skills and bring her real and imaginary characters to life.
