Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Debra (or Mother Murphy) learned to deal with the long-term effects of a troubled childhood by escaping into the lovely Yorkshire, Cumbrian and Scottish countryside...lihat lebih banyakBorn in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Debra (or Mother Murphy) learned to deal with the long-term effects of a troubled childhood by escaping into the lovely Yorkshire, Cumbrian and Scottish countryside cycling and walking to find her solace. Work life took Debra from working in a GP surgery as a medical secretary then moving into the training and development world, working for a vocational training company as an Assessor and Internal Verifier. Escaping life even further, Debra packed up her bags and her children to move to Scotland. Work took a bit of a twist when Debra set up her own training company. Finally, in 2015 Debra's life-long dream of running her own tearoom came true in the form of Mother Murphy's Tearoom.
The tearoom quickly developed from Debra's dream to create a tearoom her Grandma would be proud of to becoming an important part of the local community, offering a quiet space; a haven where everyone and anyone is welcome.
Sadly the impact of Coronavirus meant the tearoom closed in 2020. Fear not though you can still enjoy all the delights of the cakes and bakes as Debra took her business online.
