She wrote her first books when she was in elementary school using only notebook paper and illustrating the pictures herself with crayons.
In high school, she began writing poems and discovered her love for rhyming words. She continued writing poems well into her adult years, perfecting her craft.
While working with young children in the classroom, Bella noticed that her students seemed to learn best from rhyme and repetition; so, it only seemed natural to use this style of writing when she started writing children's storybooks of her own.
