Reading to my young children was a daily event to which I always looked forward. But, as is the case with all parents, the years pass by quickly. But, as is the case with all parents, the years pass by quickly. Just as I had perfected my rendition of "baa, moo, oink, quack," we left the barnyard and were on to other adventures. We were enchanted by picture books of all kinds: whimsical and educational, biographical and magical, history and fantasy, with of plenty good guys and bad guys throughout! It was a time for bonding, imparting knowledge, and allowing our imaginations to fly. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, myself or my kids.
