His poems, essays, translations, and reviews have appeared in a variety of literary and cultural journals, including Shenandoah, Seneca Review, Southern Review, Southern Poetry Review, Appalachian Journal, Zone 3, Berfrois, Newfound, and oldtime-central.com. His plays have frequently premiered in Asheville, NC, and been produced in small regional theatres and at The New York International Fringe Festival, where he won an Outstanding Solo Performance award for "The Songs of Robert," his one-man verse play with music, directed by Steven Samuels. He also designs and directs for the stage, and has served as Associate Artistic Director of The Sublime Theater & Press since its founding in 2018.
