In addition to over forty years serving congregations, he has occupied a number of positions at varying levels of the denomination. He has also served as president of a campus ministry board and, for a time, chaired the board of the Long Island Council of Churches. A student of ministry in North American society, Hulsey has also traveled extensively to Cuba, India, Israel, and the United Kingdom.
