Resilient, innovative, progressive, empowering, and creative are a few of words that in part define his multifaceted creative spirit. Pursuing his purpose passionately, his ability to transcend difficult circumstances has allowed him to find his niche as an empowerment coach, prolific motivational speaker and author. His appearances on various traditional and internet radio outlets as well as his multiple appearances on Huff Post Live have garnered George a passionate following.
His latest multimedia production, "Cory George presents Whispers in the Night" has been described as "one of the most compassionate, honest, and direct conversations related to childhood sexual assault as suffered by men of color ever witnessed". His life is the testimony from which he teaches and inspires others to create the best version of themselves despite life's continuous challenges. The oldest of seven children and raised both in Houston, Texas and Ville Platte, Louisiana, George has endured trials that most children and young adults will hopefully never have to experience. Having successfully survived years of childhood sexual abuse has made him a champion in the cause; specifically for males who are still struggling to come to terms with their own experiences and providing them the opportunity to begin the healing process. Having been raised by his aunt that became addicted to crack cocaine as well as his father during his teen years gave him an unadulterated view into the power and control inflicted by addiction. In addition, his esteem was was ravaged by a severe speech impediment that left him feeling voiceless and unaccounted for. The only thing he trusted was his pen and paper by which he could create the world in which he felt comfortable.
