I began my artistic career as a stage actor in 1977, and have performed nationally on stages in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Boston, New York, and abroad in France.
As a protégé of the late and legendary writer, James Baldwin, having spent three years under his tutelage, I have recently completed my first novel. I am a writer of poetry, plays, and short stories. The autobiographical novel, called “Mother’s Milk,” has been submitted to the Kresge Foundation for a fellowship award.
