He has served the churches he has belonged to as a head elder, head deacon, Bible teacher, school board chairman, youth club leader, and lay preacher. He has two grown children, a daughter living in Minnesota and a son living in Tennessee. Lester is a native of Virginia, a migrant of Maryland, Washington, California, and Indiana, and is now a permanent resident of Wisconsin.
