She finished her PhD in Social Theory on mental health service delivery at The University of Melbourne and travelled the world, creating art and poetry as she went. Returning to Australia, She travelled across the top end, creating songs, poems and art works en route. Dr. Vincent lectured at Newcastle University for a couple of years and volunteered in Orphanages in India, a health project in Uganda and attended the World Social Forum in Nairobi. In 2008 she was in an accident that nearly killed her and changed her life.
