Cynthia was born in Michigan and raised in Costa Rica. She too had to learn about the anxieties, doubts, and frustrations of being different. Cynthia has worked as a bilingual secretary, freelance writer, and editorial assistant. She graduated from The University of Michigan-Flint in Communication with a double minor in writing. She co-authored the script The Trouble with Trash, an independent film for children, which aired on several Michigan PBS television stations. Scamper is her first novel.
