He was educated in the North Little Rock Public Schools. After a stints as a stockbroker, salesman, an equipment installer and wholesale electronics supplier, he found his calling as an itinerant day laborer in the maintenance trades. He presently splits his time between working radio and television towers, telling stories and serving as a hospice volunteer.
