In my eight and a half decades, I have herded cattle on horseback, herded goats on foot, raised organic vegetables, coached baseball and basketball teams, loved and lost, been a nanny for two children and a care giver for the elderly plus a few other things too humorous to mention. Through it all, I have been a writer==always a writer. At eleven, I decided to run away from home. I packed my most precious items: two books, a pad of paper and two pencils.
