She began writing poetry and short stories in her early teens. Her first stories were written to entertain her younger sisters. Ms. Hensel has always felt it important to encourage children to find their strengths and pursue their goals to help them reach their potential. She has always enjoyed seeing children smile and helping them find value in themselves.
