Fowler taught children in mission organizations for over twenty-five years. She has worked in accounting for a small business for over forty years. She met her husband, Danny, while attending Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. They have been married for forty-five years. She lives in Texas with her husband, their four married children, thirteen grandchildren, and a grandson-in-law.
