Claude and Glenda Carson became the proud
parents of their third child. Raised in the
small town of Killeen, I grew up probably
like an average child would, nothing real
spectacular, just a plain and simple
Christian upbringing. And so, in January
of 1985, as a plain and simple young man,
I asked God to tell me His will for my life.
I asked God to make sure he told me plain
and simple to ensure there would be no
misunderstanding. God led me to Jeremiah
1:4-10 and Acts 1:8. Now as I strive to live
my life in accordance to God’s will, my way
of life is still the same, plain and simple. I’m
not a scholar with 6 or 7 degrees or a literary
genius, but I use the wisdom and gifts God has
given me along with some life experiences to spread
God’s message the best way I know how, plain
and simple. I pray these poems encourage and
