She credits her strong lifetime interest in the art of cooking to her mother who had a reputation as one of the best cooks in Overton County, Tennessee. While clinging to her mother’s apron strings at the age of five, Georgia learned to mix and shape dough for biscuits and then prepare other food servings. She preferred learning to cook in the Goolsby kitchen over playing with dolls. Georgia believes cooking and dining with family and friends should always be enjoyable experiences.
