Merritt George Yorgey was born in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch farmlands of eastern Pennsylvania. He worked as an apprentice in the plumbing and heating trade. He worked as an apprentice in the plumbing and heating trade. He volunteered for active duty in the navy in World War II, after which he worked in industrial distribution and sales until he retired as a manager of a wholesale supply house.
Then, in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a writer, he went back to college and earned a BA degree in philosophy from Muhlenberg College.
Now a widower, he lives in the rural area of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has three married children, five grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson.lihat lebih sedikit
