Jackson, MA, MFT, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona—a bachelors of arts degree with a major in psychology and minor in sociology and history. He was also a member of the football team, where he played running back. After he graduated, he had a brief career in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers. He later worked in the field of criminal justice. He worked as a juvenile probation officer for over twenty years with San Diego County, and eight years for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department as a correctional counselor. After he retired, he obtained his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Southern California Bible College and Seminary. He was later licensed as a marriage and family therapist in the State of California. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon, and is the founder of One Last Chance Outreach.
