Running from a family ordeal at a very young age, she worked as a maid for over twenty years. It is remarkable that, through faith and hope for a better future, Gemma defied the odds. With no formal primary education, she managed to obtain a secondary education and became a graduate and associate member of the Association of Business Executives (ABE) and she continues pursuing other aspirations.
