She spent the next twelve years as a fabric designer, working with her husband, Mark. Together they built and ran his silkscreen printing company, while raising two children on sunny Cape Town beaches, and then on a farm in Mossel Bay.
Carol is also a trained Montessori teacher. She and Mark now live in Oregon, happily close to their children, and grandson, Jak.
