the opportunity to learn their craft from an actual published author. I
learned from two. One of whom – the generous and talented Joan Hall Hovey
– was reviewed and called ‘. . . [a] female Stephen King . . .’ by Rendezvous
Magazine. That’s high praise, from anyone. I would like to think some of
that ability was passed on to me. When I was little, I discovered talent. But
a lot of kids have talent. Later, I developed skill. Now, it’s fi nally time for me
