Her home is still in Montana, just a short trip to Dillon where her mother resides along with two of her sisters. She has another sister who lives in another State. Her dad passed away at 67 in 2003. Donna has been married for nearly 22 years to Ed Nolte. They do not have children, so their children are their dear golden retrievers Sadie and Sugar. Being a Christian for quite a long time, Donna felt the need to write a book about how God can help in any situation we have in life.
