Raised and educated in Hartford, Connecticut, he entered the U.S. Army in June 1943. As a member of "L" Company, 179th Infantry, he saw combat first in North Africa, then at the Battle of Anzio, where he was captured by the Germans.
Liberated in 1945 after a harrowing forced march across Germany, he traveled to Cornwall and had an experience that would forever change his life. On his return to Connecticut, he raised a family and embarked on a distinguished career in marketing and exporting.lihat lebih sedikit
