Dr. Schooler grew up in the Bronx, graduated from Queens College, and earned a masters degree in Counseling from Lehman College. He worked as a Guidance Counselor in the schools of New York City and Maine, returning to the University of Rhode Island to complete his doctorate in Psychology in 1976.
