Our people, the Blackfeet Nation, which consists of four reservations, 3 located in Alberta, Canada and 1 in Montana, is slowly losing our language which is a part of our identity. The Blackfoot Language was never in written form until Linguist, Don G. Frantz with the assistance of several elders from the four Blackfeet Reservations published the Blackfoot Grammar book and the 1st & 2nd editions of the Blackfoot Dictionary. I developed my own curriculum using these books to teach the Blackfoot Language. By Using Don Frantz's method, one can learn to read and write the language and by doing this learn how to speak the language. I taught Blackfoot at Darrell Kipp's Blackfeet Immersion School, Moccasin Flat School, teaching children ages 3 to 5; the Blackfeet Community College teaching adults and the Blackfeet Headstart Program, all located on the Blackfeet Reservation located in Browning, MTlihat lebih sedikit
