He later served in the Air National Guard in New York and as a minister to churches in New York and North Carolina. Ed graduated from Campbell University, nestled in the small town of Buies Creek, North Carolina. Ed and his wife Cathy currently reside in North Carolina close to their three grown children and three grandchildren.
