Some of Carl’s childhood was spent in Penns Grove, NJ but he did finish his public education where he began, in Dayton, Ohio. During high school, Carl, who majored in English Lit., dabbled in poetry and did maintain a collection of his writings, many of which reflected real-life situations and many of which are included within. Carl was inspired by the works of Helen Steiner Rice for her inspirational themes and by Ernest Thayer and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow for their ‘story telling put to verse’ in … “Casey at the Bat” and “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere”, respectively.
He extends a special honorary thank-you to Mrs. Mowen and Mrs. Long, two of his English teachers spanning classes at Residence Park Elementary School and Roth High School in Dayton, Ohio. They will be forever remembered.lihat lebih sedikit
