He attended La Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru, and he holds a BA and master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas. His poems have been included in national literary anthologies. As a youngster, he worked in the fields at his father's small ranch. In the USA, he has done manufacturing and warehousing jobs before working as a business manager and consultant and as an educator.
