Mike Hood received his B.A. from Willamette University and his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. He taught American literature, medieval literature, literary criticism, and the history of ideas for thirty-one years at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina, where he also directed the Composition and Great Books programs.
