Before her arrival in America, Dora Kenny Kennedy was a nurse in Bristol Hospital, Bristol, England.
Mary and her three sisters followed in their mothers footsteps. All adopted nursing as a career choice and continued in the profession until retirement. Mary, however, while still in high school, developed a love for poetry. She was particularly impressed with the work of Edgar Allan Poe, favoring his work: the Raven.
While three of her sisters continued working in the medical/surgical field, Mary left this field of practice to begin working with psychiatric patients. She spent the last 20 years of her professional life working as a psychiatric nurse, and retired as a Psychiatric Nurse Clinical Specialists in 1990 after a CVA (stroke) caused partial paralysis of the right side of her body.
Mary continues to write when the mood moves her. Right now, she’s looking at the manuscript of a novel half-finished and patiently waiting for her to complete it.lihat lebih sedikit
