I grew up on the border in a bilingual community and studied at the University of Texas at El Paso, where I received my MA. I have been teaching at UTEP for 33 years. I have post-graduate studies at “Cine y Televisión” in Spain. I have taught graduate courses in Spanish language pedagogy and also taught at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C: How to Teach Spanish to Native Speakers. I was the Lower Division Spanish Coordinator for the native and non-native speakers’ Spanish courses, I have been involved in the development of new classes for our Spanish curriculum, where we have incorporated different technological approaches. I am co-author of Español Escrito, one of the best language textbooks for Spanish speakers in United States. I have participated with different publishers such as Pearson, McGraw Hill, VHL and Lingro as a consultant to develop online platforms and develop language content. My experience also includes to be in charge of the Study Abroad program At Spain. In this field I have written the outlines for the book Civilización y cultura de España. I am the producer of two documentaries: “Andalucía; Fusión de tres culturas” and “Andalucía: Camino al flamenco”. My goal in life is to help students to succeed in their professional and personal lives by offering them the highest quality education thru interdisciplinary approaches.lihat lebih sedikit
