Born in Kosovo, the southern province of Serbia, he witnessed conflicts in his lifetime with tragic outcomes on civilians. Stories of his grandfather, who was a refugee at the beginning and then again at the end of the twentieth century, strongly shaped his understanding of the issues and events he describes in his writing. Furthermore his work through the immigration law activities with refugees from all over the affected world allows Professor Churchill to develop global understanding of conditions and human suffering raging at various parts of the globe, even today.lihat lebih sedikit
