For 21 years Dr. Torres held a joint appointment with the Department of Psychiatry of Harvard Medical School, and the Department of Psychology at McLean Hospital, as an Instructor in Psychology, and owned a private psychotherapy practice. In 2018, she returned to her home state of California with her family, where she founded Just This Moment LLC.
Using a mind/body/spirit approach to trauma-informed care, her specialties include maternal mental health, women’s mental health, cross-cultural issues/internalized racism, mood and anxiety disorders, and couple therapy. Dr. Torres practices using evidenced-based cognitive and behavioral therapies.
