A former pro baseball player who has been training and coaching speakers, amateur & professional athletes, models, celebrities and ordinary people since 2000, Dio Miranda B.S., CMT, teaches how to use simple daily strategies to live a life of exceptional health and vitality.
A native of Puerto Rico, Dio was recruited by Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennesee to play college baseball, and then went on to play baseball in the Independent League so he was quite familiar with the training necessary for athletes at a high level. While he was in college, Dio had the great experience of teaching disabled students as part of his degree program. He graduated college with dual degrees in physical education and special education. Dio found his ultimate dream somewhere between these two extreme levels of functioning as he was more and more intrigued by what can help the ordinary person achieve incredible health. Dio is a graduate of the Florida College of Natural Health as a certified massage therapist. Afterwards, he continued practicing as a trainer and massage therapist in the Miami area. Dio then further combined his interest in the spiritual and emotional aspects of the mind and body and how they affect physical performance by attending the prestigious CHEK Institute where he studied (C)orrective (H)olistic (E)xercise (K)inesiology. He so far has achieved the certifications of Holistic and Lifestyle Coach II, Level III fitness trainer, and a high-performance exercise kinesiologist. In 2011, Dio was awarded international recognition as a CHEK Practitioner of The Year nominee.
While DioFitness is based in Austin, TX. Dio travels to work with clients internationally. His approach to fitness is to emphasize healthier living both emotionally and physically in order to achieve greater vitality so that clients can live their lives to the fullest.
