FSU is Steve’s fourth university presidency and ninth university. He earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry and a doctorate in applied ecology. He founded the Nature Based Leadership Institute at Antioch University New England in 2015 while serving as that institution’s president. He formerly worked in the paper and allied-products manufacturing industry. He is the CEO of Great Blue Heron, LLC, which helps individuals and businesses apply nature’s wisdom to achieve success. He is also the author of Nature Based Leadership: Lessons for Living, Learning, Serving, and Leading.
