She moved to the United States to finish her education and worked for many years in the areas of Human Resources and Labor Relations. When her husband was ordained a priest, she worked with her husband to establish and nurture the first completely English speaking Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in the United States. Gita Kochamma as she is known in the Church, has taught Sunday School for over 30 years and has always had a passion for sharing this unique liturgical tradition with its origins in the Aramaic Syriac culture of the earliest Christians, and handing it down to children of all backgrounds including those of the Malayali and Suriyani diasporas. Gita Kochamma serves with her husband Corepiscopos Fr. Michael Hatcher at St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in Spokane, Washington.lihat lebih sedikit
