She grew up and was educated in Mississippi. She is a relief Sunday teacher, teaches youth Bible study and sings in the church choir. She enjoys traveling, writing, cooking, and singing gospel songs. When she writes it is about the good news of Jesus Christ, about the love of God and how he reveals himself to her and people like her and about helping people overcome adversities. As she gets older her desires are to travel far and near doing the work of an evangelist. Her advice to writers young and older is to have a plan, think it through, get it done and share with others. She is a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ and like God she wishes that none should perish.
Leola is the mother of a daughter Tracey, and three sons, Ellis, Bradford and Edward.
