She grew up in the small town of Conowingo, MD and attended Conowingo Elementary and Rising Sun High. Being local has allowed her to transport children of many of her friends and former classmates. Add to that, being very active in her local church with Vacation Bible School has given her the opportunity to know many of her children and parents personally. In conjunction with her morning and afternoon runs to Rising Sun Elementary and Rising Sun High, for her first few years she drove a mid-day Pre Kindergarten/Kindergarten run to Conowingo Elementary. Even though she and her husband of 34 years were never blessed with children of their own, they are aunt and uncle to over 80 nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
