lands. Arlene was born in Jamaica W.I. but currently resides in the Bronx.
Amaris Crawford is a writer, poet and entrepreneur. She is the co-author of A Visit from
Grandma and the Founder of THerəpç, a unique women's image consulting and styling company
(www.therapybyAmaris.com).
As a young child, she developed a passion for writing because of the short-stories that she read at
her local library and she was inspired by the oral poetry that her mother would recite to her in
their apartment in the Bronx. By age 10, Amaris began to write her own poems and was
published in her first anthology. Amaris currently lives and works in Chicago, IL where she
