After completing his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas, he completed post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology. He has presented papers at regional, national, and international level conferences. He has been the Clinical Director of two residential treatment centers, a provider of psychological services to numerous psychiatric hospitals, taught at the middle school and university level, as well as been a guidance counselor in elementary, middle, and high schools. He maintained a private practice and was co-owner of the Hazel Street Family Center in Texarkana, Texas. This is his fifth book related to teaching cognitive and social skills to students. Current interests include developing books that will assist in putting knowledge related to social-emotional skills and executive functioning on a user-friendly level for upper elementary, middle grade, and early high school-aged children.
His hobbies include writing, reading, and tending to the pecan grove on a river in Central Texas where he resides.lihat lebih sedikit
