Mr. Raymond wasted many years chasing a dream that was bigger than him. Reese pursued the dream of becoming a rapper. Although there wasn’t anything wrong with being a rapper, he knew from his heart he needed more. After the dream of rapping came to a halt, Mr. Raymond became deeply depressed. Reese didn’t overcome life’s challenges until his first son was born and he knew things had to change. Years of paying to be a rapper- hustling backwards- Reese decided to take a job with the government. Mr. Raymond realized he needed to tackle life in another way if he wanted to become a mentor to his son. lnstead of creating lyrics to a rhyming beat, Mr. Raymond decided to write a rap-like book. After trying and failing, Reese combined the two and began writing a short story. As the story grew his imagination followed and Mr. Raymond went from having a short story to having 5 books ready to be published. 20 Miles 2 Empty is the first of many more.
