He felt the strongest desire to be more like Him after that and to walk as He walked. The Scripture in Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." John feels with all his heart that God has given him an expectation for healing. He feels God has revealed to him he will experience a total physical healing.
